Most of these mushrooms are edible….This is for the ones that know this….and understand the addiction to finding them.
So are all these mushrooms edible and (despite the soundtrack)not poisonous?
Some are poisonous, some are edible. Mushroom hunters understand the “addiction” to edible mushroom hunting. Mushroom hunters will also know which are edible and which are poisonous.
i also love mushroom hunting bolth good and bad they are fun to find and identify
That’s a lot of Morels!
I covet your morels.
Thank You! Great Comment, lmao.
I’m still a relative newbie to mushroom hunting, so I haven’t found a morel yet. Maybe this spring. Bu I’m in NC, and it’s been terribly dry here.
there are some in my backyard and i wanted to know if they are poisonous
first off, they arent really growing in the grass. they are growing in a dirty area. its characteristics are:
about 2-3 inches tall
the cap is very small and the stem is skinny
the whole mushroom is a light brown color
the cap is fairly pointy but it is not at all flat
the stem is about 1 - 1and a half inches tall
the cap is probably half an inch tall
I am not a mushroom expert, but do know morels. What you describe is not a morel and sounds like a LBM (little brown mushroom). LBM’s are not edible. If you have an interest in mushrooms, get knowledgeable! Hunt with trained hunters. Read and take classes. You must be absolutely certain about touching any mushroom if you do not know what it is. Be safe. Not sorry. Blessings!
I found 8 black ones this morning, nothing to compare to your video here though. I’m jealous lol.
Way to go!
Yep, a new season begins.:)
Good Luck!! and Blessings for a Mother-Load year!
Animalhero, I went looking this season, but I didn’t find any. I’ve never found one. I think I was looking in a good spot; lots of tulip poplar trees.
this video is sweeet. hey animalhero you are obviously a crazed mycologist. don’t be jealous but i found a puffball the size of a potato today….so there
Find any *fun* mushrooms latly?
thetearsicry328
